Our Process
Design
The process of building a pool has many steps, beginning with the most important – what it will look like. For this we have design experts, well-versed in all options, materials, and costs to help you make the best decisions. The result will be a detailed design enabling you to see it before we put a single shovel in the ground. Use the handy step-by-step form to get started.
Permitting
We take this design, along with detailed specifications, to your city offices. Our design has already considered any rules and regulations that might be in place specific to your city or town. We fill out all necessary documentation to allow us the permits we require.
Excavation
We begin by spray-painting in your backyard the precise are of your pool. Then we carefully maneuver our heavy equipment into your yard and begin digging. We finish this process by manually digging, scraping, and measuring until the exact specifications have been met.
Steel & Concrete
Your pool is lined with a steel mesh that is designed to hold the concrete in place, keeping it from cracking. Once the steel is in place the concrete will be poured and dried appropriately.
Plumbing
The plumbing will consist of PVC pipe (Schedule-40), with the permanent equipment placed on precast slabs. The plumbing lines are buried 12” to 18” underground. Everything is fully tested against leaks prior to permanent placement.
Tile & Coping
At this point we install any planned stone coping, cantilever, stack stone walls, waterfall, or a raised spa with stack stone exterior. This process can take two days or more depending on how elaborate the design.
Electrical & Gas
All underground utilities will get installed in this stage. Our electrician will run power to your pool equipment by connecting to the electrical access point on your property. If your pool has a gas heater, we will connect it to your gas line.
Surrounding Hardscape
Our skilled craftspeople will hand-assemble the patio and walkways around your pool. This is where all the finishing touches are attended to.
Fence
You are required to have a 5’ high fence with self-closing and self-latching gates completely surrounding your pool. Gates are required to open away from the pool enclosure. Fencing style is entirely dependent on your preference. We will install the fence prior to filling the pool with water.
Auto Cover In Lieu of Fence
You can satisfy the fence requirements with the purchase of an automatic pool cover (safety cover). Always check local ordinances to ensure compliance.
Ready to Play!
The final phase is to fill the pool with water, add chemicals, and make sure all the equipment functions properly, working closely with you to make sure you know how everything works. Of course, we are always just a phone call away if you have any questions.
